At Bourbon and Lace Doodles, we are dedicated to breeding healthy and happy puppies. Our breeding program focuses on genetic and structural health, conformation and coat traits creating that fluffy Teddy bear doodle. We take pride in our work and strive to produce puppies that will be a perfect fit for your family. We are a homeschooling family and the puppies benefit by having that family atmosphere from the start! We currently raise medium and mini Goldendoodles.  We also are approved breeders on Gooddog. Medium Goldendoodles are $3000 and Mini Goldendoodles are $3500.

All of our puppies are raised in our home with love, care, and children. They are exposed to different sounds and experiences through a puppy curriculum  to help them develop into confident and well-socialized puppies. We provide all age appropriate necessary vaccinations and deworming before sending them to their new homes along with being microchipped. 

We are committed to breeding only healthy dogs that pass our health testing standards. You can not of course detect every possible thing, but we do our due diligence, testing for what we can. Our breeding dogs undergo genetic testing to ensure they are unaffected by any hereditary diseases that we can test for and are paired to not create affected puppies. To take further steps, they receive Pennhip, OFA elbows, cardiac, eyes and then our minis also receive patella certification. We carefully select breeding pairs to produce puppies that will be healthy and have desirable traits.

The Goldendoodle Association of North America classifies sizing as follows:

Petite Mini – Height: below 14 inches from the withers to the ground, typically 25 pounds or less.

Mini – Height: over 14 inches but under 17 inches from the withers to the ground, typically 26-35 pounds

Medium – Height: over 17 inches but under 21 inches from the withers to the ground, typically 36-50 pounds

Standard – Height: over 21 inches from the withers to the ground, typically 51 pounds or more.

We focus on the Petite mini, Mini and Medium sizing.

We make our best estimates on puppy size based on parents and grandparents sizing and previous pairings if we have that to go from. We can not guarantee sizing, but rather just provide our estimates based on the genetics behind it, occasionally there may be outliers. Often when it comes to Goldendoodles, some will base expected size purely on the middle number of mom and dad, and while sometimes that may end up correct, often what you are looking at is more of a range of possible sizing. That is why you will see a range of lbs expected on our litter announcements. Our goal is to be honest in size anticipation based on the information we have.

 To be added to our Reservation List you must fill out our Interest Form, this part of the process is at no cost.

We're delighted to announce enhancements to our reservation process, aimed at providing a smoother experience for both our valued puppy families and us. Our goal is to continually improve and excel in every aspect of this journey, and this adjustment marks another step forward in that direction.

We've now established two master lists, categorized by preferred size: one for Goldendoodle puppies averaging under 25 lbs and another for those averaging between 25-45 lbs. 

To secure your place in line to select your preferred litter when they become available, there's a reservation fee of $250. This fee covers the administrative efforts involved in managing the process and ensures clarity and fairness for all involved.

Rest assured, we'll keep you informed with regular updates on planned pairings, so you're always in the loop about what's coming up next.

Once a litter is confirmed pregnant, we'll reach out to individuals on the list in sequential order. You'll then have the opportunity to decide if you'd like to confirm your interest in that specific litter. Upon a specific litter list opening, we will send you an official email announcing, and you'll be given 24 hours to pay the Confirmation Fee ($250). This allows us to efficiently proceed with the reservation process and ensures fairness to all.

If circumstances prevent you from confirming a litter within 2 years, don't worry, you'll still have the chance to retain your spot by deferring to the bottom of the list.

Additionally, we understand that unexpected situations may arise, which is why we offer the flexibility to defer up to 2 litters (of your preferred size) or a year, whichever is longer, if you're unable to proceed with puppy pickup after confirming a litter. Your Confirmation Fee will transfer within this timeframe.

Please note that both the Reservation and Confirmation fees are non-refundable, as they cover the time and costs associated with managing the reservation process effectively, they do however apply to your final puppy payment. (Example: if puppy is 3500.00 you pay 3,000.00 balance at pickup)

Bourbon and Lace Doodles reserves the first 2 spots of every litter. If there is no hold back occurring for that litter, you will be moved up on the list.

 We take reservation payment through Venmo or Credit/Debit through a processing company. Non venmo option will have an added 3% to cover the fees associated.

Puppy picks happen virtually via video conference in the 6-7th week, after temperament testing, in order of reservation. Why is this beneficial? We do it this way because we don't want puppies chosen until all of them have had temperament evaluations done and sent to you. This allows you to get an idea on which 2 or 3 may be better suited to your lifestyle. Vet checks happen in that last week here with us. We really want to set our babies AND you up for success and this guides our process here!

Puppy pick up day will generally be done the weekend after they turn 8 weeks. This should give you over a week knowing who you have picked, in case you want to get any personalized items for your new puppy! If you would like to see any current litters Click Here

There are different options for puppy transport that we can discuss. The most cost effective for you would be to fly in and have us meet you at the airport with your puppy, and return home with puppy in cabin in an approved carrier for flight.

The airport we are near is RDM Roberts Field.

Or you can hire a flight nanny.

In some cases we may be able to transport personally for a fee, which depends on current flight pricing or driving distance. For some, ground transport may be an option. While we don't personally make the arrangements with a transport company, we are happy to assist you in finding reputable nannies.  Please reach out if you would like to discuss options.

If puppy is being transported payment must be completed a week before departure.
