"Red" comes in a variety of shades. In genetic terms "red" encompasses red, apricot and cream. Our red puppies usually fall into the red/apricot shades. When a red has a brown base like the pup above their eyes will often be a lighter green.
Most of our mamas carry a brown base, meaning even if they are red, when paired for it, they can make beautiful chocolate goldendoodle puppies. I LOVE brown noses in red and chocolate so that is strong theme in many of our litters.
We also may have some beautiful silky black Goldendoodle puppies occasionally. Within the back there may be some color patterns such as brindle or phantom. Above is a picture of one of our miniature Goldendoodle mamas who is brindle phantom. Her black is nice and rich, very shiny and unfaded, but her phantom points are silvery due to brindling and lighter red intensity. These phantom points could also be red in her offspring.
