Our guardian home program ensures that each dog is raised in a loving family environment rather than a kennel setting. We prioritize the welfare of our dogs and puppies, making sure they receive individual attention and care. Our goal is to produce healthy, happy, and well-socialized puppies that will bring joy to their new families.

Bourbon and Lace Doodles proudly offers a guardian home program that allows our dogs to live in a family setting while still being part of our breeding program. This approach helps us maintain the health and happiness of our dogs, ensuring they receive personalized care and socialization. Our program connects local families in Madras, Redmond, and Bend, Oregon, with the opportunity to be part of our breeding process. What are the requirements?
Location Requirements
For Male Guardian placements we place in
- Madras
- Redmond
- Powell Butte
- North part of Bend
For Females we will accept a larger radius with more transport stipulations.
- Portland
- Salem
- Vancouver and surrounding areas.
For this approval, guardians must have the schedule and availability to transport to us as needed.
What do guardians get?
The Dog
You will receive a top quality Goldendoodle puppy or young adult dog at no cost.
These are carefully selected dogs that represent the future of our program and goals.
FEMALES in our program typically have 4 litters. They stay with their family during pregnancy and come to us right before birthing and return to their guardians once pups are weaned.
MALES are used on an as needed basis. Their need is more occasional and short term away times from their guardian families. Rarely should any overnights be necessary.
Cost and Expenses
There is no up front cost for a guardian dog.
We cover:
- Breeding related care.
- Reproductive expenses.
- Health testing.
You will take care of
- Routine vet care
- Grooming
- Food
- Training (We offer some reimbursement)
- Carry pet insurance
Retirement and ownership
Once your dog’s role in our breeding program is complete:
- We cover their spay or neuter
- Full ownership is transferred to you

- Are committed to training and socialization
- Good communicators
- Can provide a safe and loving home
- Can keep a routine grooming schedule
- Can prevent accidental breedings.
- Appreciates our desire to raise good, solid puppies while keeping mama’s and papa’s at the center of a family.
